Manufactured by Kobe Steel, Ltd./KOBELCO and distributed through Takefu Special Steel Company, Super Gold2 is a high-carbon stainless steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Enriched with generous amounts of molybdenum and vanadium, Super Gold2 (also known as SG2 and SGPS) offers an excellent balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. To further optimize its performance, this blade's SUS410 outer layers enhance its structural strength and overall toughness.

To both highlight and complement its full-flat-ground SG2 blade, the lock bar of this remarkable knife features a gold-colored titanium nitride (TiN) coating that not only provides a dramatic aesthetic accent, but also reduces friction and increases the part's wear resistance.
