Produced by the particle metallurgy process, CPM M4 is a special-purpose high-speed tool steel that is normally reserved for high-end custom knives and blades used for competitive cutting. Its advanced alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness. Cloaking it in a tough DLC coating not only reduces its reflective signature, but also helps protect this high-performance tool steel from corrosion.

The other defining feature of this knife is its handle, which features Blade HQ's signature natural-colored G-10 handle scales. The interior surfaces of the textured scales are machined to house nested stainless steel liners that provide impressive structural strength and form the foundation of the knife's Compression Lock™ mechanism.
